This weekend the caravan and motorhome club are holding the big little tent festival and it is aimed for all ages with the simplest idea and from the comfort of your own home or garden. No matter what the weather all you need to do is pitch up a tent, a teepee or just make a den in the garden or house and enjoy your time together as a family. With a downloadable pack you can get HERE with a link to get your downloadable festival pack with games, colouring, bunting and colour-your-own festival style wristbands included it can help make for a really lovely easter holiday weekend.
Along with the free downloadable pack, there is an opportunity to win 2 children bikes from Raleigh worth £350! I never really learnt to ride a bike, well not very well anyway, neither did Brad. Neither of us would confidently be able to hop on bikes and ride them with the children on the back (Or without to be honest) Although I always dreamed of a duck egg blue or blush pink bike with a basket on the front to ride around the city centre with bread or a sausage dog in but for now, the idea of my children riding bikes and them having their own bikes to learn to ride and hopefully confidently sounds ace to me. Lucas and Iris have the cutest bikes and Iris does have the little basket on the front but she usually fills it with fake sausages and bread instead of my dream. I hope we can break the cycle and the littles can learn to ride bikes for their family bike rides whilst brad and I sit and watch with ice cream. I think it's really good for children to have bikes and it's great exercise too, so this is a great little competition.
In the downloadable link there's also an opportunity to win a vango tent from Cotswold Outdoor worth £220 too and all you'll need to do is to share a picture from your weekend of fun! I wouldn't object to winning this, I have a great feeling it'll be a lot easier to put up than the one we have. Cheapy tents suck and honestly, it put us off camping but I think if we had a better tent to use it would make it a lot nicer experience. There is nothing worse than trying to put up a tent, with three children, it being so complication to put up, you feel like stargazing would be the better option and then thankfully your tent neighbours come to the rescue, put it up and save you from a very chilly night under the stars with three under 6's... can you tell this is a true story! haha. So looking at the vango tent, I am like... yes, PLEASE! I always loved camping as a child and as a festival going adult, it's just that, the cheap tent we purchased for a night on the Isle of Wight, caused trauma, this did result in us borrowing a caravan for a festival weekend in 2019 and that was lovely, I do like a caravan holiday.
I am a huge lover of travel and little staycations but because of bump, we won't be travelling anywhere this year sadly as I am due mid August, so for now we'll be joining in from home and trying to make the activities we do at home a little more fun, like pop tarts in teepees, and s'mores, hot chocolate and an Easter egg hunt! I am looking forward to it.
I think this idea from the caravan club is amazing and I am so excited to do more with the children over the weekend, the teepee is currently still pitched and although they'll not sleep outside in them, there’s so much for them to do during the day and if it means that one day of the easter holidays I don’t hear “mum I’m bored” then it’s a win!
So what are you waiting for? Get downloading, get pitching and leave them to have their own little festival! You can snooze in the sun, do some laundry or play a festival playlist and then finish with a movie under the stars on an iPad, laptop or a projector if you’re a fancy pants!
Amazing! I know nothing about traveling all over the country, what a wonderful looking place to explore.
