SEASIDE IN THE SQUARE! PRESS EVENT PHOTO DIARIES | AD

*I was invited to a press event with Southampton Bloggers to explore this year's Seaside in the square and received complimentary food and drink, as well as a goody bag in return for a blog post*

The seaside! It's such a great place, so to have a "kinda" seaside on your doorstep is pretty cool! Now, there are no crashing waves at this seaside but there are sun, sand and cocktails! The seaside in the square is perfect for families and for friends, couples and well, just adults after 7pm!

The seaside is in partnership with
Carnival UK, YMCA, Wave 105.2, Bluestar, decathlon, Solent University, Southampton city council, southern water, blue frontier, Nandos, NST Nuffield Southampton theatres, Mayflower Theatre, Revolucion de Cuba, West Quay, IKEA and Will box.

With lots of deck chairs and places to sit and chill it's the perfect place to go! Especially with Live music, a bar, sports and games and the sand between your toes.

The YMCA group are there with activities for children and a separate children's sandpit with buckets and spades too.
They're running little sessions between 11:00-16:00 every day too.

The bar sells the absolute BEST pina colada slush and the best thing for some? It's non-alcoholic and the best thing for others, you can add a shot of rum in if you wanted.

Orange Rooms are the official bar sellers of the event and I even had a go at making my own mojito... I wasn't great. BUT, I did wear a great pair of sunglasses.

The live music was great and made a really nice addition to the evening I am a big fan of live music and to sit with a cocktail in hand, sandy toes and the sun setting is my idea of the perfect evening. Especially surrounded by friends.

The seaside has some really aesthetically pleasing areas and It made me want to rip my whole garden up and re-do it! Ikea really does have some gorgeous furniture on offer!

Other things on offer at the Seaside is gym sessions with people like BarTribes and Pure Gym and also Cinema experiences and silent discos. The seaside isn't purely aimed for children and young families, it's for everyone and has a little something for everyone! Check out their website for the programme and hop on a bus and enjoy the beach
