Since my children are growing older and even if we have one more, they're not going to be babies forever and wont always want to be featured on my blog - I am going to have some more beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts. There will be more Mama fashion, Mama beauty and interior and homeware posts too. So, to kick things off I thought after adding to my make-up collection at Christmas as I was wanting more "grown up" and some more medium priced items I thought I would do a post with whats in my make-up bag.
I know I always enjoy seeing these posts, so hope you will too.
To start I will use the base products, foundation, concealer, primer, ect... I'll sort of do it in order of application.
I use MAC Prep + prime to start to prep my skin and then use Benefit Pore-fessional and then finally I use Liz Earle signature foundation in 02 Ivory. This is such a nice base and my skin feels so blooming lovely and soft. I usually apply the Prep + prime and pore-fessional with my fingers and then use my Illamasqua foundation brush to apply my foundation.
I then apply the Illamasqua bronzer which is no longer for sale anywhere (boohoo! gutted - please leave alternatives in the comments) with the illamasqua powder brush.
I then contour with Illamasqua sculpt duo (I am out of the highlighter so just use the dark contour side) and use Kryolan eyeshadow colour 115 to highlight. It gives me such a nice glow and then finally apply a slight bit of Illamasqua blush. I use both the colours lover and hussy together as it makes a lovely colour. I apply these with a few brushes from Bella Pro (which are no longer for sale) and Studio Pro which come in a kit. I then buff and blend with a brush from Bella pro.
I then use the New look eyebrow kit in Med brown which I should probably invest in Light brown now my hair is lighter but it's a great little kit. I use the illamasqua angled brush to apply it.
Then onto my eyes. I have two different Mac eyeshadow pallets at the moment and I love them. I am all about copper, rose gold and neutral eyes, so these are a dream. I apply with 3 different brushes, two from the Studio London set and blend with a cheap blending brush from amazon.
The big pallet is this one HERE and the smaller pallet is this one HERE.
I occasionally use MAC fluidline gel eyeliner and apply that with a Screen face eyeliner brush.
I am currently using Liz Earle Lash definition smudgeproof mascara and I love it.
I have an old Mac spring 17 lip pallet and I have been using MAC's Ruby Woo too the past few weeks. I also have usually got MAC carnivorous in my bag and I need to grab my Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Lolita || from my friend to add back into my everyday collection.
Make-up is something I can't wait to get more into and find my way back to finding my confidence.
I have embedded a youtube link to my new vlog below too.
