WHAT I CAN'T WAIT FOR IN AUTUMN

Is it too early to get excited for Autumn? Please say no. I am far too excited for everything that is coming over the Autumn months and then at the end of Autumn will come my baby! How perfect is this? That's not forgetting my "baby" girl turns two at the end of October! I am so not ready to say I have a two year old.

I have been that grumpy, ol' pregnant lady recently, grumbling at the heat and when that rain pours and it gets chillier, I am overjoyed by it. BRING ON THOSE CHILLY, RAINY DISNEY DAYS!
I cannot wait!
The gloomy days recently have got me thinking about Autumn and our plans and I thought i'd write a 'What I can't wait for in Autumn' list to show what i'm excited for. Eeeek!

  1. WEARING ALL THE AUTUMNAL CLOTHING
This sounds so incredibly barmy but I just love the colours of the clothing of this season, the mustards and rust colours as to me nothing screams Autumn without those coloured clothes flocking into the stocks and off the hanger into my wardrobe and ready for those Autumn photoshoots, especially as i'll be heavily pregnant again this Autumn too. I also can't wait for oversized jumpers, chelsea boots and LEGGINGS! I love leggings.
  2. PUMPKINS! ALL THE PUMPKINS
Pumpkin spice latte's, pumpkin pie, pumpkin picking, everything pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. I love pumpkins, if you didn't already guess. We have so many pumpkins in the halloween decor box now because of our wedding last year and this make's me insanely happy! Nothing is better than Pumpkin's dotted around your house as decor and the pumpkin spice candles burning in the house - filling it with pumpkin scents! Bliss.
  3. COSY EVENINGS WITH CANDLES BURNING & BLANKETS ON
You know the ones. The ones you stick a cheesy film on, snuggle under a blanket, fairy lights lit, candles flickering away filling your house with a sweet, spiced scent and listening to the wind blow and rain fall. Oh, and don't forget the fact the nights are darker so you can look at the moon through the curtains that are open. Oh, I love it.
  4. CRUNCHY LEAVES EVERYWHERE
This year we'll be doing the school run so we can make the walk to school fun by jumping on the crunchy leaves, Iris will likely pick them all up on the way back from dropping Lucas up and tell me the colours as she does and yell at me that it's a leaf a million times. We'll likely bring hers and Lucas' wicker basket and she can pick them all up in this basket and when we get home, we can put the heating on and i'll get paper and glue out and she can stick them to paper and make a cute little piece of art work to go on the fridge.
  5. HEARTY SLOW COOKED MEALS
I am so excited for stews in the slow cooker, spag bols, well anything that can be put in the slow cooker will be and I can assure you we'll be finishing most meals with a warm crumble and custard because thats exactly how you should do Autumn grub. My slow cooker will be becoming my best friend towards the end of my pregnancy and during the first few months too.
  6. CHILLY AIRED WALKS TO WORK AND WITH THE FAMILY
I can't wait to walk to work wearing a coat, remember one of those? I'll be enjoying the slow waddle to work and loving not breaking into a sweat on the way. I also can't wait to be able to walk hand-in-hand with my children as we walk to the woods or the park and not have to keep stopping for water or for the fact it's scorching and we can't cope with it.
  7. HALLOWEEN
I can't wait to start putting a bowl of halloween treats on the side for us to pick out, I mean, this list is making it out like i'm going to gain a lot of weight over Autumn... I will be either way so I might as well have a handful of spooky Haribo! I also can't wait to get the costumes, have our friends littles over for halloween parties, it will be so much fun. I love the fun, spooky side of halloween, not the gorey, adult side of it.
  8. MY DAUGHTER TURNING TWO
This isn't at the bottom of the list because I don't care enough for it, it's just making me feel really blooming emotional. I can't believe my current youngest will be two. It's so sad to an extent, I feel like i've blinked the past two years away. What I love is that I do feel like we've crammed a lot into those two years, the past year the most. I can't believe my dinky one year old will be turning into a dinky two year old... here's to hoping her Sass doesn't get any worse! haha.
  9. OUR ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Now, on one hand I can't believe we've been married a year BUT on the other hand it feels like ages ago. I feel like because we've crammed so much into this short space of time with Disneyland Paris, a broken arm, Inverness, Edinburgh, Manchester, Croatia, Wales, the summer holiday's, Lucas about to start school and not forgetting a pregnancy too, it feels like it was so long ago but it wasn't and although we have nothing planned and no money spare due to another Disney trip due, a baby due, Christmas due, you know. I am looking forward to a nice evening, munching on the slice of wedding cake that's been in the freezer since our wedding and just spending the night in together watching TV. That's all that matters to me.
  10. GETTING OUT THOSE HALLOWEEN CLASSIC FILMS
I cannot wait to show Lucas, Hocus Pocus, The nightmare before Christmas, The Adamms family, you know, those sorts of classic films. I can't wait to make some popcorn, a hot chocolate and grab a blanket on the weekend and all 4.5 of us to watch these films and enjoy each other's company. It's going to be the best.
Autumn truly is my favourite season and then Christmas follows after it and that's so lovely. From September/October to December 31st, I am at my happiest and i'm so content and happy. Bring on Autumn and I cannot wait to stop sweating a bit!
