TODDLER'S ROOM WITH BUNK BEDS

We've decided to leave the kids sharing a room for as long as possible and just before Christmas we decided to go and buy a bunk bed so we could bring the role play corner up from the lounge to make way for the Christmas tree and to make our lounge/Diner less cluttered. It worked and until we move i'm satisfied with the layout of our house and it feels homely!

The little's room has had a new carpet put in recently and the student blue one is nothing but a memory and it is such a relief as the room now looks so much bigger, fresher and cleaner. I'm really happy with their room and it's such a lovely place for them to sleep.

One thing that was important for me was not cluttering it up with wardrobes and chest of drawers so we bought Kallax storage unit in white for £25 and bought the draws that go with it for the DRÖNA boxes in red and yellow to match their Mickey and Minnie theme of their room. Iris' side also has a box from h&m that are no longer in stock but they're really cute and Iris' holds her nappies and Lucas' holds lots of his memory books and photo books over the years.

Above their Kallax shelves is their cheap ikea shelves which have had a rail drilled underneath for their shirts, jumpers and dresses. Their trousers, pyjamas and other things go in their kallax draws.

Next to their draws is their book box that I made a painted and they have A LOT of books and the box is quite big. We read books before bed everynight so a lovely handpainted box with their initials on is lovely.

Then there is a whicker hamper with all their dressing up and role play goodies in. They're mad about role play and they absolutely love having so many bits. Doctors kits, tool boxes, ect...
Above the whicker hamper is Iris' special princess dresses and they're so cute and I love having them on show.

Then as you walk around you reach their role play corner. They have their dolly accessories for their babies. They have one each and then they have their kitchen and cafe set with their henry cleaning station. They love it and play together really nicely and then you find all the food on the floor but that is okay.

I purchased some wall stickers from Amazon and they're such a lovely extra for their wall. They weren't expensive either. The white shelves are IKEA, and the vines are Ginger Ray, the house is H&M, and the little trinkets have been collected over the years.

Their bunk bed is the Kura from Ikea it's reversable and Iris' mattress is on the floor and she's safe and if she rolls out of bed she can't hurt herself and she loves it. Lucas loves being on the top bunk and loves his own space. They have the most ridiculous amount of teddies and they all end up on the floor at night time and I just find their room is so homely.
I have left the link for the video below and if you want to know where any of the other things are from that aren't linked leave a comment below and i'll let you know!
